A 28-year-old bricklayer was bolted by some colleagues. It happened in a warehouse in via Guglielmo Marconi in Vermezzo con Zelo (west hinterland of Milan) on the evening of Thursday 29 July.
It all started around 19:00 when, according to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri of the Abbiategrasso company, some workers of several subcontractors showed up in front of the gates of the Vermezzo company to demand payment for some construction works. The masons, according to what was reconstructed by the military, would have challenged pieces of iron present in the square and threatened the owners of the company (a 50-year-old Italian and a 34-year-old Egyptian) who had refused to pay the full amount because – a told them – the work would not have been carried out to the highest quality.
The situation immediately became tense and the entrepreneurs took refuge inside the shed, two employees of the company tried to mediate with the other masons but were involved in a scuffle. The 27-year-old, in more detail, was hit in the back with a construction hose and suffered several lacerated-bruised wounds to the shoulder blade, lower neck and right side. The man was transported in yellow code to the Magenta hospital and detained for treatment. For the moment the perpetrator of the violence has not been identified but from via della Moscova they let it be known that investigations are underway on the case.
