Cosa fare a Milano - What to do

Milan becomes a flower garden: Orticola 2021 is back

Under the sign of the poppy: the magic of flowers begins as early as autumn. For the first time in 24 years, Orticola will blossom in September, thanks to the collaboration and contribution of its “travel companions”, such as Ceresio Investments, Main Partner of the Association, CityLife, supporter of free workshops for the public, Fonte Plose, water partner, Mediterranea and Persol, close to the exhibition-market for many years.

From 3 pm on Thursday 16 September until Sunday 19 evening, at 7 pm, we are waiting for you for a unique edition and extraordinary, at the gates of autumn, to discover, admire and immerse ourselves in plants, flowers, scents and colors typical of this particular period of the year. The blooms will be different from the traditional spring edition, but certainly no less lively or captivating. For the first time it will be possible to find herbaceous plants that in May would have been small or other plants that give their best at the end of the hottest and brightest season. You will be able to admire new blooms, simple or showy, but always colorful, and sometimes so long-lasting as to last until the first frosts.
