Lake Como: landslides, mud and floods. The Regina state road is closed

Big troubles and inconveniences also on the western shore of the Como branch of Lake Como. The bad weather that has been lashing the area for three days has caused landslides and subsidence that have also hit State Road 340 “Regina”. In particular, as the QuiComo colleagues report, there are two landslides in Brienno and Argegno, the extent of which is not known at the moment.

The damage is still to be quantified. The firefighters and civil protection are therefore involved in numerous interventions. In Blevio, work continues to clear the villages of Sopravilla and Capovico from the masses of mud and debris that fell on July 25.

Meanwhile, the Regina state road has been completely closed to traffic. In the photo we publish, extracted from a video shot on the morning of July 27, you can see the road in Brienno completely invaded by mud and water.
